A Digital Tools Workshop is a practical, interactive learning experience designed to help businesses understand and leverage digital solutions. Delivered as a four-part series, it begins with a pilot session that provides a clear baseline of what tools are available and how they can support your organisation.
Unlike traditional sessions, these workshops are highly engaging – no “death by PowerPoint”! Instead, we focus on participation through group discussions, mapping activities, and other hands-on exercises that make learning collaborative and impactful.
In the pilot, we discuss the following topics:
Throughout these topics we include activities and exercises to help participants think about how the tools displayed can be applied to their business to help streamline processes and improve efficiency.

In early October 2025, we delivered a dedicated workshop on digital tools and AI for 15 SMEs from across Southend-on-Sea.
The event – sponsored by Southend City Council and hosted at The Launchpad – was facilitated by our team. The response from participants was exceptionally positive, with many expressing how valuable the information we provided was. Attendees highlighted the clarity of the content, the practical nature of the demonstrations, and the supportive environment that allowed them to explore new technologies with confidence. Several participants also noted that the workshop exceeded expectations, providing insights they could immediately apply to their day-to-day operations.
It became clear early in the session that digital literacy levels varied significantly across the group. By delivering guidance, support, and clear explanations of a range of digital tools, we were able to help each attendee progress from their starting point. By the end of the workshop, there was a noticeable uplift in understanding and practical confidence, demonstrating the impact of well-structured digital training.
To measure this change, attendees were asked at both the beginning and end of the session to rate their confidence in using digital tools and AI on a scale of 1 to 10. The improvement in scores reflects the effectiveness of the workshop and the enthusiasm of participants to further develop their digital capabilities.
