What is Change Management?

Change Management is the art of helping people adapt to changes in their workplace, in as painless and stress-free a way as possible. It’s a common misconception that ‘people don’t like change’ but we know by now that it’s just that people don’t like poorly managed change! That’s where we come in. To get you the returns you deserve on the investments you’re making in your business; you need Good Change People.

Why Your Business Needs Professional Change Management Support

Delivering a project on time and within budget is great, but what if your staff aren’t using the software you need them to use? Or changing the internal processes you need them to change to increase business outcomes such as; sales or time efficiencies? That’s where organisational change management comes in, we can help your organisation discover new technologies, provide clients and key stakeholders with clear communication and implement desired skills. As change management professionals we help guide your people to the outcome you want; saving you time and money.

Q1. What changes can we help with?

The short answer is – any change. We have best in class change management consultants who are experienced in deploying change initiatives across many different industries. To see a list of recent projects head to our consultancy page, where you’ll see that we have subject matter experts (SMEs) in fields such as ERP implementation, Cybersecurity, Dynamics 365 and more. But that’s not all we do; our SMEs have provided transformational change in Finance, HR and cultural/behavioural change initiatives too!

HR changes can include change initiatives such as: team re-organisation or redundancies, workplace design, chain of command or admin procedures that have changed the status quo. Whereas cultural or behavioural organisational change initiatives are more human-centric and could include: hybrid working models, 4-day weeks or changes to company values, or even re-branding. Not to mention mergers and acquisitions which often bring about their own unique set of people-facing challenges!

Q2. Why do we add value?

Change is constant, especially in business and even more so in technology. Very quickly, investments made in businesses can become stagnant, particularly when they’re not being adopted by the people they’re supposed to be or there is resistance to change. Lots of small business owners are spending money to keep up with technological changes in the market but not spending the time to ensure their people know why. Using an agile change management approach, we always put people at the heart of change, so you get a good return on your investments. Organisational change isn’t something to be scared of, with our carefully curated change management strategies we partner with your people to implement strategies that open different communication channels, assist in skill development and improve the company’s ability to manage change effectively.

Q3. Who can Change Management help?

Change management equips employees with the tools, knowledge and support to help them adapt better to new technologies, improve leadership skills and give the organisation a strategic direction. Whether that is communications, training, knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement or benefit realisation, our change management consultants monitor progress throughout the change initiative. We implement change management models that can be used to increase the effectiveness and success of a change initiative. We encourage your people to come along on the change journey with us, so you get to your desired destination.

The Change Management process explained

There are a staggering number of change management models available, choosing the right one is no small task as there is no ‘one-size fits all’ model. We encourage successful change management by using a proven change management process that is both simple to understand and effective in generating great outcomes. We then bespoke this to your organisation’s specific change project and use it to cultivate an environment where leading change becomes managing change effectively.

Building change capability that is sustainable

Successful change management strategies rely on a wider encompassing strategic vision than simply implementing change required now. Successful implementation should be viewed on how it has had a lasting impact on the views of the organisation to facing and addressing changing business circumstances. This should be judged across all key stakeholders to determine how this organisational change management view has been adopted across the entire company culture from overcoming resistance to managing transitions. This will result in continuous improvement being striven for as second nature with ongoing organisational change initiatives being conducted. We pride ourselves on helping all the organisations we work with to create this lasting change.
